QuickConcept allows a user
- to collaborate on the same CAD/CAM project through Internet
- to visualize and analyze a model with the possibility to change the control between the users
- to collaborate, with only one license, with all the costumers.
QuickConcept is independent from any CAD/CAM system.
The collaboration is realized through a TCP/IP connection between two computers directly connected to internet.
Having both the machines with a direct connection to internet is a restrictive costraint.
In fact if a machine is behind a firewall, a proxy or a router, it is not able to establish a direct TCP/IP connection with other machines outside its LAN (Local Area Network)
Most of these machines are able to surf the web.
In fact a firewall, a proxy or a router allows the user to establish specified connections to request and view web pages.
QuickConcept Agent
simulates the same behaviour of a internet connection and browsing:
it creates connections on the same ports dedicated for the internet navigation and mail and exchanges the QuickConcept application data like if they were web pages.
For users with a direct connection to internet (modem, public IP)
For users that already have QuickConcept installed and want to use it in collaboration even if they are behind a proxy or firewall
For users without a direct connection to internet.
